OVERVIEW:
World Independent Artist Network is an AIRAA member. WIAN, leverages Internet radio, as well as AM and FM radio, as a major instrument in the “marketing and advertising” of intellectual property. A business model and platform based on an innovative licensing agreement, which enables a “creative team” to both, market and promote their intellectual properties while earning a percentage of collective advertising revenues.
PREMISE:
The AIRAA has developed a systematic archetype, designed to connect Internet radio, private AM and FM radio, the small business sector, and independent recording artist for the purpose of creating a new industry ecosystem.
INTERNET RADIO:
Internet radio is one of the fastest growing platforms, which allows an audio program to be broadcast to virtually anyone with an Internet connection (regardless of physical location). WIAN programming for AM and FM stations is structured to comply with the rules of the FCC.
SMALL BUSINESS SECTOR:
The small business sector is the backbone of American capitalism, and the majority of small businesses struggle to stay alive. One of the biggest barriers confronting small businesses is the lack of funding; and with advertising rates starting at just $2.00 per spot, the AIRAA saw the opportunity for small businesses to benefit from “localized” Internet radio marketing and advertising.
CREATIVE LICENSING:
Through a creative licensing agreement, the Independent recording artists now have a comprehensive arrangement, whereby the owners of intellectual property and / or the artist, producer, and musicians share in collective revenues generated by the advertisements paid for by the small business sector. When these business entities work together as synergetic allies, a unique industry ecosystem is formed.
